One of the best ways to experience a destination is to do an eating tour and take in the local culinary scene. And, with its great mix of homestyle diners and craft brews pubs, Boulder City is the perfect place to do just that. Keep reading for some eateries that you absolutely must make a point to have a meal at during your trip and, of course, be sure to book your stay with us here at Best Western Hoover Dam for the most comfortable and convenient accommodations in town. As one of the top hotels in Boulder City, our Best Western hotel has a wide variety of modern, clean rooms and suites and a host of fantastic on-site amenities including a hot tub, swimming pool, and fitness center.

The Dillinger

Located in historic downtown and consistently rated as one of the “Best of Las Vegas,” this restaurant is the place to go if you’re craving for gourmet burgers and top-notch craft beer. The decor is just as good as it’s food, too — the Dillinger is located in the old Bank of Nevada and is named after the infamous bank robber, John Dillinger, and, in honour of its namesake, two shotgun door handles greet you as you enter the restaurant.

Boulder Dam Brewing Company

Located just miles from Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, the award-winning Boulder Dam Brewing Company is the go-to place for live music in Boulder City. It’s also a living museum, with all of the equipment used in the Dam’s construction that decorates the pub’s interior and beer garden. While the food is fantastic — the menu offers delicious pub fare — beer is the main attraction here, with everything from pilsners to stouts on tap.

Southwest Diner Restaurant

A local favourite for almost 30 years, Southwest Diner serves up good old-fashioned cooking. Expect a menu that includes homestyle pot roast dinners, breakfasts fresh off the griddle with huge three-egg omelettes, and don’t forget the famous cucumber salad. All of the recipes are Grandma Citrowski’s, passed down through to her granddaughter, Cindy, who owns the diner. Come for a good homemade meal and enjoy antique decor and service that’ll make you feel like part of the family.
