Of course, any visit to Boulder City isn’t complete without a stop at the Hoover Dam! Located in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River and constructed during the Great Depression between 1931 and 1936., the Hoover Dam impounds Lake Mead. It’s a national historic landmark and major tourist attraction, bringing in almost a million visitors every year. Visitors can even walk cross border from Nevada to Arizona when they cross the 1,900-foot-long bridge!
